Testing a business idea? Build a simple online home before going bigger

Big business dreams. Small startup budget.

You’re testing the idea, watching the budget and doing a bit of everything. A simple online home can help you explain the offer while you work out what comes next.

A light bulb and a single-page website grow from a small mineral-green branch on an ivory platform.

You’ve got an idea, a few social posts and a budget with very little wiggle room. You’re answering questions, trying different messages and finding out whether people are interested.

That’s useful work. The questions people ask can tell you what needs explaining before you spend more.

Make the next step easy

When someone sees your post, where should they go to understand the offer?

A single-page website gives you one link with the basics: what you offer, who it’s for, the practical details and how to get in touch. You can keep testing ideas on social media while giving interested people a clear place to learn more.

Keep the first version focused

Pick one main offer and one action you want visitors to take. Then use the questions you’re already hearing to decide what belongs on the page.

If people keep asking where you work, make that clear. If they’re unsure what the service includes, explain it simply. If they want to talk before deciding, make the inquiry step easy to find.

A page won’t prove the idea on its own. Pay attention to the inquiries it brings, what people ask and whether those conversations turn into work. That gives you something useful to consider when deciding what to change or build next.

Start with one page. Grow from there.
