Custom Solutions

Build around the work.
Connect the pieces.

A focused tool, a better handoff, or a connected system shaped around your business.

Start with the problem you want to solve. We’ll review the people, information and existing tools involved, then agree a useful first version.

What a custom solution can mean

More than another page on a website.

A focused tool.

A phone-friendly form, job tracker or dashboard for one job your current software does not handle well.

A better connection.

A supported connection between the tools you already use, so the right information can move to the next step.

A complete workflow.

A customer-facing experience connected to the business work behind it, with roles, review and ongoing operation considered from the start.

These are examples to scope together. Integrations depend on the existing systems, available APIs, permissions and third-party costs.

A practical example · Our own business

How C2E’s pieces fit together.

C2E needs to explain services, publish useful content, show interactive work and, next, give customers a place to manage their websites. That is a business workflow, not just a homepage.

Existing public website

One front door. Several kinds of work.

The C2E site brings service pages, starter-site examples, articles, stories and interactive experiences together. A shared visual style and navigation help visitors find their way without making every kind of content the same.

Customer platform · In development

A workspace behind the website.

The new platform is designed to connect customer information, website content, billing status and publishing. Individual workspaces and saving information have been tested in an isolated development application.

The intended customer workflowA simplified view of the platform being developed, not a statement that this full journey is live.
  1. 01Business need

What should the website help the customer do?

  2. 02Customer workspace

A place for the customer’s own business information.

  3. 03Content & preview

Prepare changes and review how they will appear.

  4. 04Service status

Connect billing and service information to the right account.

  5. 05Publish & maintain

Make an approved version public and plan for later changes.

Development status: The customer portal, live payments and production publishing are not yet launched. Working portal features have been tested locally; the complete real-provider customer journey still needs to be proved.

The architecture, in business terms

Why separate the pieces?

Content can change without starting over.

Keep business information separate from its presentation. A design change should not require re-entering every service description and contact detail.

Design principle

Editing is not publishing.

A customer needs room to prepare and review changes. The intended workflow separates a saved draft from an explicit decision to make it public.

Planned workflow

Background work has its own job.

Billing updates, messages and publishing have different responsibilities. Separating them from the page a person is using makes the system easier to reason about and maintain.

Implementation approach

The lesson for your business

Start with the handoff that gets in the way.

Your version might be an inquiry becoming a job, a booking moving to a schedule, or a completed task becoming a record someone can review. The point is to connect a real workflow, not to copy C2E’s platform into every business.

  1. Understand the work.

Map the people, inputs, decisions and current tools. Use a scoped consultation when more discovery is needed.

  2. Agree the smallest useful version.

Define deliverables, boundaries, dependencies, costs and acceptance checks before building.

  3. Build and review.

Test the agreed workflow, including what happens when someone stops, repeats a step or needs to correct something.

  4. Plan the handover.

Agree what ongoing hosting, maintenance, support and future changes will require.

Custom work is quoted for the actual job.

A custom project is separate from the managed website plan and the focused Site Glow-Up. There is no standard price for every workflow, and no claim of guaranteed time savings or business results.
